About Us

The Franklin County Health Departments provides a variety of services to Prevent disease and illness, Promote health and wellness and Protect Franklin County. Those services include:
Environmental Health: Inspections of hotels & motels, bed & breakfasts, cafeterias & caterers, restaurants and food stores, mobile home & RV parks, schools, septic tank cleaners, sewage systems, swimming pools & spas, tattoo & body piercing studios, temporary food booths, and youth camps. Services such as rabies clinics, food manager & food handler classes, and investigations of environmental health hazards.
Clinic: Well child exams, WIC, immunizations, family planning, STD & HIV, cancer screenings, TB.
School Health: School nursing services for public schools.
HANDS: Health Access Nurturing Development Services for any new parent.
Health Education: Education concerning diabetes, nutrition, physical activity, STDs and any other health related topic. Healthy Start child care consultation, tobacco & substance abuse prevention, worksite wellness and MAPP (Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships) coalition for community health improvement.
Home Health: Skilled nursing, physical and occupational therapy, aide services, waiver services and EPSDT (Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment).
