FSB Summer Camp PSA Circus Camp – June 17-21 and July 8-12, 9:00 am-12:00 pm and 1:00-4:00 pm, at FSB, Ages 5 and up What is the only thing more fun than going to the circus? Being in the circus! At FSB’s Circus Camp, you will get experience in juggling, magic, tightrope walking, clowning, tumbling, partner acrobatics, gentle animal training, physical comedy, hula hooping, balance board, bed of nails, dance, and circus flow arts. Develop coordination, memorization skills, balance, stage presence, and more! You may also be invited to perform in the Pre-show for Gale Force Dance’s outdoor summer production of Happy Dance!There may be a Participation Fee for this performance opportunity. $80/morning, $80/afternoon. Early Care 7:30-9:00 am and After Care 4:00-5:30 pm are $15 each. Lunch Care is $10 or free if attending both morning and afternoon. Open Enrollment is March 7-June 1. Circle Play Forest School – June 3-7 and July 15-19, 9:00 am-12:00 pm, at Fort Hill Park, Ages 3-8 Enjoy a magical and delightful summer outdoors at Fort Hill Park with the Frankfort School of Ballet’s Circle Play teachers. We will share songs, stories, dance, art with materials from nature, and scientific observation of the natural ecosystem. Develop a love and respect for nature, and make friends under the loving care of our wise and gentle teachers. We will spend the morning outside at Fort Hill Park even if it is raining, so please dress appropriately for the weather. However, in the case of severe weather, we will meet at the Frankfort School of Ballet. $80/student. Early Care 7:30-9:00 am is $15. Lunch Care 12:00-1:00 is $10 or free if attending both morning and afternoon. If you desire a full-day program, also sign up for Summer Fun Field Trips! Parents of little ones are welcome to stay or drop-off. (Ages 9-25 may apply to be a Camp Counselor.) Open Enrollment is March 7-June 1. Summer Fun Field Trips – June 3-7, June 24-28, and July 15-19, 1:00 pm-4:00 pm, at Fort Hill Park, Ages 3-16 Experience the special fun of summer! Using the Frankfort Transit system, we will take a different trip each day of the week to places like Frankfort Aquatic Center, Paul Sawyier Public Library, Juniper Hills Playground, Franklin Square Cinemas, Lakeview Park Splashpad, Capitol Bowling Alley, East Frankfort Playground, Kentucky History Center, or SalatoWildlife Center. (The schedule will be determined each week based on the weather forecast and requests from participants. Depending on the schedule, there may be small additional fees required.) $80/student. After Care 4:00-5:30 pm is $15. Lunch Care 12:00-1:00 is $10 or free if attending both morning and afternoon. Frankfort School of Ballet Summer Intensive – June 10-14, 9:00 am-12:00 pm and 1:00-4:00 pm, at FSB, Ages 9 and up Learn proper technique, dance history, strength building, and more from professional dancers and highly qualified teachers.And have fun with friends! Areas of study for the ballet track in the morning will include various styles of ballet training, variations, partnering, and basic Pilates classes. For our contemporary track in the afternoon, we will include classes in jazz, modern, acro, and yoga. Also included in the instruction will be lectures in the following subjects: dance history, nutrition, auditioning, the importance of body preparedness, dance discipline, relationship aspects of dancing with others, and becoming a pre-professional dancer, as well as visits from dancers in Frankfort’s first professional performance company, Gale Force Dance! On Friday, June 14th, there will be a showcase performance! Parents, friends, and family are encouraged to attend and see what we learn during our exciting week of dance!
